The Powerhouse
Multifaceted, progressive works by African artists and Black artists from the Diaspora resound visually as a common voice on the grounds of the Kunstmuseum Bonn. They create an inspiring foundation for a self-determined, free and equal existence. The interweaving of virtual and simultaneously physical art experience sends a clear signal: A utopia is about to become reality.
The Powerhouse creates an impressive force field and a breeding ground for interaction. The photogrammetrically and digitally processed artworks are more than the sum of their parts. The composition of the exhibition creates a multi-dimensional work that invites visitors to become part of it. The exhibition has already opened doors during its creation.
The exhibition was curated by the artist Nando Nkrumah, who has used AR technology as a tool for artistic intervention several times in the past.
