The Metro Office of Centre for National Culture in collaboration with Connect FM (a subsidiary of Media General) is organizing the First Edition of Senior High Schools Visual Art Festival for all Visual Art Teachers and Students in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Area.
The festival was aimed at unearthing the latent Visual Art talents of students and helping nurture them. In other words, it was a platform created to serve as a vehicle through which talented students could be identified and molded into stardom; and if possible, bring out the commercial potentials of such talents for National development.
The festival was organized on a competitive basis with awards for the 1st to 3rd positions in the areas of Art exhibition and Drawing competition. A special award was also given to the Best Art teacher. The best school represented the Metropolitan Area at the National Festival of Arts and Culture at Cape Coast in November 2022.
Theme for the festival was “Discovering & Polishing the Visual Arts for National Development”.
