TheMuseumsLab 2024
Tracy Naa Koshie Thompson gave a thought-provoking talk on complicating food, contemplating the human versus the non-human components, and how food can be broken down, as part of Module 3 — Art Spaces in Accra. This was done together with fellow artists Priscilla Kennedy, Daniel Arnan Quarshie and Elolo Bosoka.

Started online in June, and continued onsite in Berlin and Accra, TheMuseumsLab 2024 brought together 50 Fellows and more than 100 scholars, artists and activists, all connected to the museum sphere. Together they explored museums' history, present and future, exchanged knowledge, ideas and best practices, and engaged with various museum spaces on both continents.
The programme offers multidisciplinary perspectives on current museum and heritage discourses, space for exchange and networking, innovative formats for joint learning and workshops for practical skills. A Residency at a renowned African or European institution provides further opportunities to share visions and approaches, and to build long-term constructive relationships.
